New Template Finally

I finally made a move to brighten up my blog and I have Kelly Rae to actually thank for the gentle nudge. Blogger in draft has been available for a while now and I had indeed played with the new templates but just couldn't wrap my arms around the changes that would have to be made to the content of a two column template to a three column template.  Kelly's most recent lesson is all about a blog presence on line so I decide just to do it.  I was so tired of the old template and I really did not like the "free" stuff out there.  Some of those templates are a little to distracting for my taste.  I just wanted something that does not take away from the photos etc... So now that I have changed the look, I plan on testing it out to see how I like it.  Thank you Kelly for the great class.  There is a lot on absorb and it may take some time...

Meanwhile...I have to finish planning for my class on Friday.
If you like the look, please drop me a comment.

Ooh very nice :) It looks very clean and fresh. I really like it!

I thought about changing mine at the beggining of the year, but I didn't like any of the other templates more than the one I have, so it's just stayed the same!

I'm with Undaunted. I looked at the other available templates and just stuck with what I have. I love the three column blogs with texures on the sides. That would be perfect for some of my paste papers. Any ideas how to do that? And what does "Blogger in draft" mean? I like your new look.

Oooo I love how your blog looks, Kathy: the simple, clean lines and 3-column layout. It really helps focus in on what's important rather than being distracted by colour and busy-ness. Know that I need to do the same with my blog aswell, as it feels so cluttered at the moment.
Sigh, all the fantastic tips we're learning from Kelly-Rae is blowing my mind!
Big hugs

Are you using old blogger? or blogger in draft? Blogger in draft has one template where a painting or photo can be used for the background. It's sort of fun to play around with. You want to avoid getting the page so busy as to appear cluttered though. Blogger in draft can be added to your old blogger (search for it on blogger news and I think they tell you how to down load it for your blog. That may help you add your mosaics. I thought I would do that with one of my abstracks but I think it would really take away from my pictures that I post (of artwork). Why not try making a blog button with your mosaics as background. I don't know exactly how to do this but you can search blogs with buttons on the side bar, swipe one of them and then replace their HTLM code with your site and picture etc...When I learn how to do this I will let ya know!
